Finishing up

 Today was the last day to edit. I had to finish up editing the commercial. I went to the draft and watched it over again. I had to figure out how to download the song so I could insert it into the video. I couldn't download it from YouTube, so I needed to find out another way. I found a website that allows you to download music as an MP4 file, so I downloaded it to my computer. Then I inserted it into iMovie. For the last scene of the commercial, I needed to make a logo. I searched for a converse logo I liked, but I couldn't find one right away. I found one but it had a white background and I needed one with a transparent background. I couldn't find one with a transparent background, so I inserted the one with a white background into a website the converts it to transparent. I downloaded the picture and put it into google docs. I made the background black and inserted the logo. I then had to look at my research blog to remember the slogan. Then, I typed the slogan into the document. I decided to add "it's like walking on sunshine" to refer to the song. I typed it in all capital letters to make it look better. I then took a screenshot of it and added it to the end of our commercial. I then watched the commercial a couple more times to make sure I liked the final product, and I loved it. I also showed some of my classmates our commercial and they all loved it also. I am very happy with how it turned out.

  My group for the music video is me, Kaya, Ben, and Addison. I have been friends with them for a very long time and I think they are great people to do this project with. We all usually have similar ideas. Our personalities go well together and do not clash. I chose them for this project because I know I can count on them to do their share of the work. They are very creative and can help with the brainstorming aspect of the project. Ben actually makes music so he could help us determine what we should put in the video. We all love being in front of the camera, but also behind so we can all be in the video. We always work well together and listen to each other. We communicate ideas well and can agree on things.   Part 1-  The main takeaway of the video is what goes into making a good film.  Editing and filming are required for the audience to understand the story.  The video talks about how the film was made and how it was meant to show what is happening.  Editing is important in movies in general.  The pictures put in allow for a clean effect for shots.  The shots and reverses allow us to feel the film.  Long shots allow the audience to better see the film.  The audience was given more time to study the pictures.  The images are each their own story. - How can we better represent situations and emotions in our film?  This film goes back in time in a straightforward manner for the audience to understand everything.  Audio can also be used to enhance the video.    Conventions in Thriller films Genre Research: Thriller Close-up- may be used when your attention is intentionally directed to the character’s face and at times what is behind them. Extreme close-up- used as a powerful way to convey the emotion that the subject is feeling. They are used in thrillers to allow the audience to get a clear understanding of the emotions the character is going through. Used mostly to convey fear, pain, and sadness in thrillers. Low angle- to show the power struggles of characters throughout intense scenes. High Angle- to show the power struggles of characters throughout intense scenes.
