Creative Critical Reflection

Here is my CCR! Filming this was a lot of fun.

Final Task 2022

Image
This is it. This is my final task. I am very excited and blessed that I got this opportunity to create this. I got to do it with my best friend and have a lot of fun. I know it isn't the best final task. But, I put a lot of effort into it. I did my best, and that's all that matters. I am excited to see if Cambridge likes it. I hope they see my efforts. I had so much fun and I am very happy I took this class. I learned so much.

Anticipation

Doing this Final Task was very fun. I really enjoyed it. It allowed me to spend more time with my friend. It also allowed me to do fun things with her and come up with fun ideas. It definitely brought me closer to her. It was fun, but it was still hard work. Creating time to work on this with my busy schedule was very difficult. Especially since some of the scenes were set at night, and some in the day. This made it even harder. I had to sacrifice a lot of things to make time for it. But, it was still fun. Feeling like professional movie directors was awesome. Kaya and I are very proud of our opening sequence. I am very excited for Cambridge to watch our final task. I think they are going to enjoy it. It is a common topic that they probably see a lot, but I think ours has a good twist. I worked so hard on this project. A lot of time and effort was put into it. I am very excited for it to be graded.

Film Review & Changes

I was finally done with editing. Now, I needed another opinion. Kaya and I had both watched it countless times. We felt like there could be bias behind us watching it because we created it. So, we needed someone else's opinion. I had my Mom, Dad, and all of my siblings (3 brothers, 2 sisters) watch our opening sequence. I opened the final task on my computer. To get the full effect, I wanted my family to watch it on a big screen. I screen-shared my MacBook to my big living room tv so the movie effect could be enhanced. Only my Mom, Dad, and one of my brothers could do this. For my other siblings to review my final task, I needed to email it to them because they do not live with me. I thought how some of this could be biased because they were my family. I was trying to think of ways that everyone could give me anonymous feedback. My family are the type of people that would not want to hurt my feelings if they genuinely did not like my final task. I had an idea to fix this problem. I

Editing Continues

Today I needed to actually start editing. I started by looking at the storyboard. This is very helpful. It helps me put the scenes in order. I was thinking about which editing software I should use. I figured I would go with the one I am most comfortable with. Which is iMovie. I made this decision because I am familiar with iMovie already. I used it to edit my commercial and music video. Those turned out pretty good. I trust myself using iMovie. First, I opened iMovie. Then, I inserted all the clips. I had to make sure they were all in order. To do this, I watched all of them through. All of the clips were out of order even though I inserted them into iMovie in the right order. I had to go through them one by one to put them in order. I did this by looking at the storyboard. After they were all in order, it was time to cut and crop the videos. After cutting and cropping, I added music over the appropriate parts. The last and final thing to do was embed the credits into the scenes. I a

Editing Begins

Image
Today was the first day I started editing. The scenes we filmed were on Kaya's phone. So, I started by having Kaya email them to me. I went on my email and found them. I downloaded the videos to my computer. I went through and watched all the videos again. I did this to make sure Kaya sent me all the right takes. There were a lot of outtakes, so I wanted to make sure she didn't send me one of those by accident. Today, I decided to start with downloading the music we were going to use. The music we chose was royalty free music on YouTube. So, the first thing I had to do was go on YouTube. I searched up the music I needed. I realized that I could not download music onto my computer from YouTube. I needed to find a website where it would allow me to do so. I went on Google and started searching. I found a website fairly quickly. The website allows you to download music as an MP4 file, so I downloaded it to my computer. Now I could start actually editing. I had the music and the v
