Editing Continues

Today I needed to actually start editing. I started by looking at the storyboard. This is very helpful. It helps me put the scenes in order. I was thinking about which editing software I should use. I figured I would go with the one I am most comfortable with. Which is iMovie. I made this decision because I am familiar with iMovie already. I used it to edit my commercial and music video. Those turned out pretty good. I trust myself using iMovie. First, I opened iMovie. Then, I inserted all the clips. I had to make sure they were all in order. To do this, I watched all of them through. All of the clips were out of order even though I inserted them into iMovie in the right order. I had to go through them one by one to put them in order. I did this by looking at the storyboard. After they were all in order, it was time to cut and crop the videos. After cutting and cropping, I added music over the appropriate parts. The last and final thing to do was embed the credits into the scenes. I also needed to add some credits by themselves (director's credit, etc.) Doing this was difficult. I had to look at the storyboard to see where to put the credits. Embedding them into the right places was hard. It took some trial and error, but once I finally figured out how to do it, it was easy. Once I finished all the editing, I rewatched it, and I was proud.
