BEACH DAY!

 Felipe brought up the idea of going to the beach and out to dinner with a couple of friends. I LOVED that idea since I had not been to the beach in a long time! The day started early with a group chat text from Felipe to decide on the meeting spot and time. We agree to meet at the beach at noon, giving us plenty of time to soak up the sun and enjoy the day. I pack my beach bag with sunscreen, sunglasses, a beach towel, and a frisbee. I also bring along some snacks and drinks to share with my friends. When I got to the beach, I spot Felipe and my friends already setting up their towels and beach chairs. I make my way over and we all greet each other with hugs and high-fives. We start spreading out our towels and setting up our umbrellas, making sure to secure them in the sand so they don't fly away. We decided to play some beach games. I toss around a frisbee with Felipe. I thought it would be a fun idea to play a game of beach volleyball. Everyone agreed, and it was perfect because there were beach volleyball courts right next to the spot we were on on the beach! We played volleyball for hours, not even noticing how much time had passed until I checked my phone. We were going to be late for dinner, so we had to leave quickly! I went home and got ready for dinner. I showered first and then did my makeup. I put on my outfit which was jeans and a cute top, then I straightened my hair. Then, I drove to the restaurant and met everybody there. It was such a fun time and the food was amazing! The whole day was insanely fun and a great bonding experience.

  My group for the music video is me, Kaya, Ben, and Addison. I have been friends with them for a very long time and I think they are great people to do this project with. We all usually have similar ideas. Our personalities go well together and do not clash. I chose them for this project because I know I can count on them to do their share of the work.   Part 1-  The main takeaway of the video is what goes into making a good film.  Editing and filming are required for the audience to understand the story.  The video talks about how the film was made and how it was meant to show what is happening.  Editing is important in movies in general.  The pictures put in allow for a clean effect for shots.  The shots and reverses allow us to feel the film.  Long shots allow the audience to better see the film.  The audience was given more time to study the pictures.  The images are each their own story. - How can we better represent situations and emotions in our film?  This film goes back in time in a straightforward manner for the audience to understand everything.  Audio can also be used to enhance the video.    Conventions in Thriller films Genre Research: Thriller Close-up- may be used when your attention is intentionally directed to the character’s face and at times what is behind them. Extreme close-up- used as a powerful way to convey the emotion that the subject is feeling. They are used in thrillers to allow the audience to get a clear understanding of the emotions the character is going through. Used mostly to convey fear, pain, and sadness in thrillers. Low angle- to show the power struggles of characters throughout intense scenes. High Angle- to show the power struggles of characters throughout intense scenes. Costumes are more often than not very simple and plain. Muted colors are usually used to not take away from what is actually happening in the movie.
